Gyro-Stabilized Systems Completes First Successful Flight Tests of the C520 Platform.

March 12-13, 2013 – GSS logged more than 6 hours of flight time in Northern California on a Bell 407 helicopter March 12-13, achieving perfectly stable 4K Ultra HD footage up to 300mm from the C520 Gyro-Stabilized Platform. Primary filming locations included the Sierra Nevada Foothills around Grass Valley as well as the San Francisco Bay Area.

The shots were incredible and showed the superior technology of GSS’ products. We were able to get some, if not the first, 4K Ultra HD night aerials of the San Francisco Bay Bridge’s light show that will be changing every day for the next 2 years. From professional mountain bikers catching big air on a coastal trail, whimsical fog dancing around the Golden Gate Bridge at night, beautiful Sierra Nevada Foothill lakes during sunset, the wild Northern California coast, and ultra-modern shots of San Francisco, we filmed it all. Three companies collaborated closely on this project, tying in some of the best aerial experience in the industry from Los Angeles to San Francisco and abroad. Ultimately, GSS will end up with an amazing show reel that will clearly show our products’ superior performance, as well as the artistic capabilities of our C520 and C516 platforms. GSS is leading aerial production and broadcast markets away from traditional fixed camera stabilized products that become outdated almost the minute it’s purchased. Let us know what camera, or cameras, you require in your system.

We look forward to sharing in the success of our products with our friends, colleagues, partners, and clients at the NAB Show.
