B512+Ikegami HDL-F3000+Fujinon 42x=Amazing Low-Light Broadcast Solution

GSS was fortunate to get our hands on a pre-production Ikegami HDL-F3000 low-light broadcast camera to begin the process of integration into our Broadcast Series stabilized platforms. Testing the camera in low-light conditions proved to be successful with great sensor sensitivity, image quality and paint box control.  Once the camera becomes commercially available, it will be another interesting choice for professional broadcast applications.

Even more exciting is that the camera when married with a Fujinon 42x or Canon 40X lens fits inside our new GSS B512 platform. At approximately 55 lbs/23 kg, this is the smallest and lightest professional low-light broadcast solution on the market.

If you would like to learn more please contact Nick Ricciardi, VP of Sales.

Customer Spotlight: Papa Sierra

Since 1993, Papa Sierra has been shooting broadcast and production aerials worldwide.  With operations based in France, they are currently operating 8 gimbal platforms. In July, they received their first GSS C520 system and announced their adoption of GSS in a French cinema trade article seen here. In the article, they point out that Papa Sierra took several months to fly the system before choosing GSS against all competition in the broadcast and production market spaces.

Among their many projects, Papa Sierra has worked with Yann-Arthus Bertrand on Home(2009), a visually stunning documentary with aerial scenes from 54 countries around the world and French director Luc Besson.

Currently, they are working on Yann-Arthus Bertrand's newest documentary scheduled for release in 2017.

To say we are looking forward to seeing the results from Papa Sierra's future projects would be an understatement.

ittle White From the Sky

Pretty amazing kayaking edit from Rush Sturgis, and our friends at River Roots. The aerials were shot by Brian Wulf using Teton Gravity Research's GSS C520, on a beautiful day in March, on the White Salmon River.

TGR Turns 21

Speaking of Teton Gravity Research, they just released the Tight Loose trailer to celebrate TGR turning 21. Additional background on the film as well as show times and locations can be found here.
